Call for Abstracts

Interested in presenting your work in one of the accepted conference sessions? The call for abstracts is now open.

The conference will hold on May 12, 2022. You can still submit your abstracts on or before March 15, 2022.

Participants interested in presenting oral or poster presentation are invited to submit their abstracts. In the abstract submission form, you can choose how you wish to give your presentation – either in-person or virtually. All abstracts will undergo peer review by the session hosts. Abstracts should be submitted in the English Language only.

Submitter (User)

In order to submit online you will need to set yourself up as a User. Once set up, you can submit numerous abstracts via your Profile.

It is the responsibility of the Submitter (User) to pass on any relevant information regarding the meeting to the other authors, and ensure that all authors approve the submission and presentation.

Important Information to Note

ALL PRESENTING AUTHORS MUST REGISTER AS DELEGATES WITHOUT EXCEPTION and the submission of an abstract serves as confirmation of the presenter’s availability to attend and pay for being at the Conference. All abstracts will be acknowledged via the online system. If you have not had a confirmation of receipt within 3 days of your submission, please contact the Abstract Secretariat at ulbsconference@unilag.com and copy ulbs@unilag.edu.ng, All abstract will be reviewed and scored and subsequently accepted for presentation or rejected. This process will take some time to complete and the outcome will be available by 26 April 2022. At that time the submitter will be notified as to whether his/her abstract has been accepted or not. The ULBS International Conference 2021 Reviewers reserve the right to accept or refuse an abstract. The decision of the Reviewers on the acceptability of the submission is final. While preferences for oral or poster presentation will be considered, the reviewers reserve the right to designate abstracts as either oral or poster presentations and to choose a suitable session for the abstract.  No correspondence on their decision can be initiated by the author(s) or submitter.

Presentation Format

Oral Presentation should be prepared on PowerPoint slides using font Arial, size 36 with maximum of 36 words per slide except for tables and figure.

Poster presentation, should be made on size A0 poster and it should contain title of the accepted abstract, authors’ names and affiliation, Introduction/Background, objective(s), method(s), results, conclusion. 

Declaration of Consent to Publication and Assignation of Copyright:

By submitting an abstract the, the Submitter with the consent of all authors declares as follow:

We confirm that we checked this abstract before submission and that all information is correct. we accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and we are aware that it will be published exactly as submitted. Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to publication (e.g., conference website, programs, other promotions, etc.)  The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that he/she is the sole owner or has the rights of all the information and content (“Content”) provided to ULBS International Conference 2022 (Hereafter: “The Organizers”). The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third-party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights. The Abstract Submitter grants the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.  The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.

Please note further that by submitting an abstract, the author(s) consent to present his/her/their work in-person. In the event of “force majeur” – including, but not limited to war, civil authority or government regulations (quarantines and curfews), natural disasters, fire, strikes, (threats of) terrorist action, lock outs, accidents, blockade, import or export embargo, adverse weather, catastrophes, pandemic/epidemic, or any occurrence or act creating a significant risk to the author(s)’s health or safety – the author(s) consent to prepare a pre-recorded presentation (audio & video recording) or present his/her/their work virtually to be broadcasted in real-time during the one day conference and time as specified in the program schedule.

Awards:

At the end of the presentations, awards will be given for the first, second and third best presentations each in the Oral and Poster Presentation categories. 

Certificate

Certificate of Participation will be issued to registered participants.
